Surprisingly only 1% of abortions are because of rape or incest, 6% is because the birth of the child could cause serious health problems to the mother or baby, and 93% happen because of social reasons. 43% of all women will have at least one abortion by the time they are 45 years old, 47% of abortions are done to women who have already had at the least one abortion.

Valentina a13 year old girl who became pregnant by her 15 year old boyfriend was forced to have a abortion by a judge in Italy. In Italy a minor can not make the decision to keep her baby or to have an abortion the decision has to be made by the minors parents or guardians. And since valentina wanted to keep her baby and her parents wanted to her to have an abortion the decision had to be made in court by a judge. Valentina's parents did not want her to have her baby because they thought it would ruin her life and they did not have the money to support the baby ether. Since Valentina had her forced abortion she threatened to kill her self because she was forced to kill her baby.
